The Soviet Union did not have guaranteed minimum income, nor did (to the best my knowledge) the rest of the Soviet block.
It did have guaranteed employment, to the extent that if you were not officially disabled (in which case you were entitled to a pittance), you would get something, no matter how much of a screw up you were. This was a flawed setup, but I am not aware of anyone seriously suggesting it was a major contributor to USSR's fall.
I love capitalism as much as the next guy, but guaranteed minimum income would likely be cheaper than the current hodge-podge of social assistance measures that are the norm capitalist societies. Would also make it more difficult for capitalists to use the power of firing someone as leverage for taking advantage of them or getting them to do something illegal. So my personal view is that only a temporary safety net such as unemployment payments are appropriate in capitalist societies like North America and Europe.
The famous photo of a girl eating a bat was not taken in China.Eating bats in China has now killed thousands of people both inside and outside of China.
The kosher rules apply to the Jews only. Out of the 613 rules only 7 apply to non-Jews. Eating parts of an animal while the animal is still alive is one such prohibition, and carrion (if memory serves) is the other.People should have listened to Moses and stuck to the kosher rules of the Tenakh. Bats and monkeys are definitely NOT kosher.
However, one could make a reasonable argument that eating primates is prohibited under "murder" which also is forbidden for everyone.
