Okay, this is, 'literally', EXACTLY what I was previously thinking as well. So, we have, at least, some thing in 'common' here.
Yes, just like that some language is not, so called, "conventional" or "common" does not imply that all language is not, right?Terrapin Station wrote: ↑July 4th, 2020, 9:42 am That some language isn't literal doesn't imply that all language isn't, right?
After all, part of the skill set for 'you' to be able to understand and reason, far more than you can now, is to NOT make the continual assumptions and hold those beliefs that you do now. See, if you want to understand "others", then you have to REALLY STOP assuming and believing that 'you' KNOW what the RIGHT definitions and meanings of words are.
But if one has been labeled with "asperger's", then one HAS TO function as one. This is because if they did NOT function as one, then they would NOT be one of them, correct?Terrapin Station wrote: ↑July 4th, 2020, 9:42 am Again, part of the skill set that one needs to not function like an Aspie is the ability to tell the difference and not assume that everything is all one way or the other.
Also, from what I have observed, there is NO actual advantage to not functioning like one with "asperger's". Also, WHY do you bring up the word 'aspie' quite often in these threads. Have you been diagnosed with 'asperger syndrome'?
