When was the last time you changed your mind about something?

The last time I changed my mind about something was deciding to focus on my personal and mental health. I chose to take a leave of absence in December from my job and go to counseling to focus on getting better and improving my depression and anxiety. Originally I did not want to do this, knowing I was risking my job altogether, but I knew it was important so I could be a happier, calmer mother to my two kids.

The last time i changed my mind about sometihng was today. I am someone who struggles a lot to be close to someone and really fully open up to someone so the idea is completely horrifying and difficult to do and I often think of reasons to escape people. Earlier today, I was having a really bad day and I was thinking of completely cutting everyone off from my life and dissapearing. However, after spacing out for a few hours, I felt myself slowly calm down and return to reality. Once i did that, I decided that there was no need to restart everything and I realized I was going on the exact path I needed to after calling my friends for a few hours.

This is a very interesting set of questions. I had to think long and hard, and to be quite honest, I do not remember changing my mind about anything really significant recently. Maybe the most significant decision from recent years has been about which country to live in permanently. I was rowing and blanketing back and forth with this question for quite a while, but finally, it was the benefit of my family (and especially my kids) that placed me in my current location. I think all my most significant changes of mind are somehow related to my precious kids.

Last month, my husband and I were thinking about applying for a mortgage through a big market lender. After I read the reviews and customer feedback, they seem to have a lot of negative responses, and the company did not come through as they expected leaving them in deeper debt. That is why I changed my mind about the lender and applying for the mortgage all together. Now, we are going to wait until we find a lender that is willing to work with us, fit our budget, and get pre-qualified.

Today when I reread the Chapter How to Free Your Spirit and Manifest Your love. The discussion for on trying. I think that looking in the mirror and knowing I did my best is more positive than thinking I am trying to do my best. Try isn't possible because the answer is black or white: as in I did my best or I did not. This took the gray out of the equation.

A couple of months ago, I was thinking about going back to school for my master's degree. The only problem is that now I'm enrolled in an online school that is teaching me coding, so it will interfere with my college schedule. I decided to not go back to school; becoming a software engineer is more fulfilling than adding to my marketing degree. It was a difficult decision to transition from one career to the next, but I know it will be worth it in the end.

This year when I had promised to visit my friend in another province. What made me change my mind was the expenses that I didn't take in account when I made the plans. Had I took the trip, I would have been financially crippled for a long time, and I don't think I would have been able to meet one of my new year's resolution which is to buy something big for myself.

Interesting - this question looks so easy, and it is so difficult to answer . I think it is because it concerns an important matter - otherwise it would be so much easier to find numerous examples as the mind is in constant flux over all sorts of trivia, from what to wear to what to eat, etc.

As for important things, most recently I changed my mind shortly before last Christmas. On my way out of a supermarket, I saw a small stray dog who was running around the parking lot. I took him home, named him Teddy, scanned him for a microchip, called my vet, got the phone number of the owner, and when the owner told me that it was normal for him to run around the area, I gently persuaded the owner to release the dog to me lest he should lose his life straying on busy roads and parking lots. When I got Teddy, I was determined to rehome him to England through the rescue charity I am helping because I already have eight rescue dogs of my own, many of them have issues that prevent their rehoming, but a small friendly dog like him was a great and easy candidate for the life of luxury in a smaller household in England. But all my dogs took to him instantly, and my friend in rescue advised me that adoptions in England were slow due to the economic uncertainties, and there were even cases of the surrender of dogs to rescues. So I changed my mind and decided to keep Teddy. I never had to regret that I kept him .

1) the last time I changed my mind was 2 years ago. To this day it has been my biggest decision and I often think about what would have happened if I chose the other path.

2) I dropped out of the Kansas City Art Institute my Sophomore year. I was a Senior in High School in 2019 when I was accepted into their photography program. I wasn't completely happy, it was a big change and photo careers aren't known for being easy, but I wanted to try.

3) in 2020/2021 we were online due to the pandemic. Alot of good things happened during that year. I was finally able to buy a top of the line camera, we built a 300 square foot darkroom. Homelife was great, but school life wasn't. My class had 9 people in it. I was the only one making landscape photos, the teacher didn't understand what I was doing. The work put in, the fact that I had one chance to do an entire project. I could live with that, not everyone knows the work that goes into a good landscape photo. What made me quite was on my final, it had to be done on black and white film. I chose to photograph the Orion Nebula through my Grandpa's 14 inch telescope. He had done it before. I had a month for this, well it was cloudy, she couldn't understand why I didn't have any progress to show. I knew that one picture would take a 3 hour long exposure, I went out there every night for a week in 30 degree Fahrenheit weather. I developed the film and I had nothing. With one week left I couldn't figure out what happened and what to do. I asked my teacher, she didn't know why my film wasn't picking up light when it was correctly exposed. She told me to Google it. I finally figured it out and patched together a very rough final. What fully made me quite was that 2 days later she knew everything about the problem I was having. She knew why, she knew what to do about it, and a better way to do my project.

So that was the last time I changed my mind, when I spent 2 years and $40,000 to be told to Google it.

For something significant, it was over year ago and I was about myself. I realised what I had thought was my passion for years actually wasn't. As for the why, a friend laid it out to me and it opened my eyes. I'm much happier now. Don't be afraid to reevaluate.

Did you really change your mind or you simply did that which you intended to do all along? I change my mind a lot on things but ultimately, I believe it may have been the action I wanted to take all along. For instance, today I changed my mind on eating out and decided to cook when I get home instead. Nothing really caused me to change my mind, I just want to do an activity when I get home.

Recently, I decided to go against my view that I could not be a writer. I had tried severally and I had stopped midday through my books. I had read several self helps books but none of them could help my situation in any way. However, recently I watched a documentary and I realized that perhaps I was writing about the wrong things. I was not putting my efforts into genres that I could actually succeed in. While this story is not yet complete, I am in the right path.

I had always wanted to be a newscaster, a broadcaster or basically anything that revolved around internet technology and communication. However, a drastic incident in my country in 2020 changed my passion. Now, while I still love my podcasts, I have a new urge to fight for justice in my country and to speak up for the poor masses. The event was the End SARS protest in 2020.

My answer to number two is very funny and very personal. But I'll answer one and three. For one, it's actually quite recently. Maybe two days ago. And why? I realised how a piece of me was lost everytime it happened and how lonely I was becoming. Scary. As far as progress, I'll have to wait and see

I changed my mind about attending a family reunion a few days ago. I decided not to go. There are several reasons that I made this decision, even though I want to see my family members. There are terrible storms that are happening. It is not safe to travel. The temperatures are severely cold, and most activities were planned for outside. It would be uncomfortable. I was supposed to stay with my sister, and she caught a nasty sickness that I did not want to catch. After discussing it with family members, we have now decided to postpone the reunion.
