When was the last time you changed your mind about something?

It has been a while since I changed my mind about something. I would say the last time was 2 months ago when I decided to travel and not stay home agan.

Something happened to me last week. After my semester exams, my friends invited me to a party but because of the kind of life i led, i turned them down. But after much consideration, I changed my mind and went to the party with them. I realised that I had to share every little moments together because one doesn't know when he/she would leave this world.

I'm always thinking twice about every move I make in life. Its a normal thing for individuals to access their options whenever they are about to make a decision. So, yesterday I changed my mind about chasing women and I have promised to work on myself rather than whiling away my time.

The last time I changed my mind was about quitting my paid internship. The work was very hectic, and the work environment was toxic. People used to escape from their work, and I was asked to fill in for them. I used to work beyond my work hours without extra pay. And people took advantage of that. It was taxing. At one point, I sprained my ankle, and I was still working. I was still asked to move around for work with a sprained ankle, while there were others who were escaping from work. I finally decided that I needed a break, and I took it (actually, I wanted to quit; later, I changed it to a leave of absence). I recovered from my health, attained mental peace, and thought of solutions to address the behaviour of some of my co-workers and the toxic environment. Also, I realised that I was a people-pleaser, and that's why I was unable to say "no." The simple answer to all of my problems was the ability to say "no,", which I lacked. I went back after my break with my ability to say "no," and I cruised well with no problems after that. My work environment or the people haven't changed. It was my attitude and how I decided to tackle it that changed which helped me. It's okay if people think badly of you. Everyone has opinions about you, even if you are good. Learn to value and prioritise yourself over others. You can only do so much. Be helpful, but only to those who genuinely need it.

To me, change is constant. We just moved house and keep finding things don't quite fit in the new place.
