I guess someone should save her or himself first before becoming a saviour of others and that's why i totally agree with you

I'd like to reiterate that, whether you are looking for a savior or someone to save, or both, look into a mirror. I agree with the statement and I believe it's the first step an individual should take before deciding to offer happiness in a given manner. I also think it is difficult to know whether a person lacks inner peace, especially if the person is not well-known to you.

This is so sad but so true. Mostly people try to please others and fix them when they should be working on themselves.

Each of us has to improve. At that point, the world will be a joyful place for us to live. Then and only then will we be able to recognize virtue in those who around us. The secret to real happiness and contentment in life is self-discovery.

I agree that we are the only ones that can save ourselves; we are our own saviors, and we should be mentally strong in order to save or help anyone else.

I agree that we should be the ones to save ourselves first before looking for help from the outside. We should fo our best internally first.

I agree with you. People are always looking for help elsewhere, when they can actually help themselves. The more you believe you can do it, the more possible it becomes. I learned this the hard way because I used to seek help from people a lot in the past.

Why look for help from people when you can actually help yourself. Although, sometimes we need other people to push us to success but its the effort that we put matters. Many people out there who help people always want something in return and when the day of reckoning comes you'll be left wanting.

True. Only you can, in reality, help yourself. Because only you care the most about yourself. Unhappy people need to work on themselves before they give advice to others. You cannot give something that you lack.

People who are unhappy tend to seek scapegoats rather than taking responsibility for their own mistakes. It's easier to point fingers at others than to acknowledge one's errors. Ultimately, your happiness and inner peace are your own responsibility.

"Whether you are looking for a savior, someone to save, or both, look into a mirror" is a powerful line. At the end of the day, the whole universe together won't be able to save a man if he is not willing to save himself.

Seeing someone happy and content in who they are and with their life is inspiring and those are the type of people who can truly help others. This reminds me of the whole take a shirt off your back and give it to someone else. One doesn't need to suffer to make someone else happy. Instead of encouraging people to sacrifice their shirt/comfort/happiness for someone else, why not encourage them to help that person find that shirt/comfort/happiness the same way that they did for themselves? That way, both individuals are happy.

Very true. I learnt this the hard way. The person in the mirror is the only person who can save you. Only that person is responsible for everything in your life. Inner peace and being able to be self content is overrated. Start doing it however early you can. Thinking about saving someone else? Then first save yourself. Clear the dirt on yourself before you go clean another person. That should do the trick.
