I completely agree with you. I've always found the idea of that heaven to be a very boring one. Anything you want, without having to work for it for all of eternity has always sounded like the most boring thing that anyone could ever imagine ... it sounds like hell and I don't want it. Goals to work towards will be endlessly more fulfilling.

I completely agree with this. I don't think anyone is born an optimist. Optimism is a choice and it doesn't make you naive, it means you see the dark and everything that is bad, but you choose to focus on the good. You create your own little heaven.

Say it louder for those in the back! "Heaven and hell are states of being that we create." We create a miraculous place to go at the end to ease our minds about the physical process of death. We create a version of hell to mentally deal with all the bad people or 'evil' that we have to encounter in life. Every day we can work towards making our current life heaven through out outlook and mindset. This was never more clear to me until I had children. Toddlers will do that to you with their innocent mind set and infectious laughter.

I guess I agree that we can see heaven and hell as concepts and situations that we create for ourselves; that does not undermine the spiritual significance of heaven; there are two separate things: we can live in bliss on earth here and call it heaven, and we can live in peace in the afterlife too.

Well, it also depends on the inner peace that we have. If we never feel happy about anything, how can we find heaven? Heaven is where all the unhappy things gone, all worries gone, all bad things very minimum, and the person always find happiness even in their bad days or through bad things.

I don't think we have been living in heaven yet. Heaven in my opinion is not abstract. It is as real as earth. There is so much pain on earth how can it be classified as heaven.

We are not living in heaven. We are in a different dimension far away from heaven. Actually, I think we're closer to hell than we realize. Too many terrible things are happening. And have you thought about this. Why is it so easy for bad to thrive but so difficult for good to thrive?

That because the world was made from evil. Heaven is not even abstract or something in our imagination. It is real.

Heaven is what you make it. A truly moral person would feel like they were in heaven if the society they lived in was had perfect morals, which is a point for debate, and vise versa. If we created the perfect living conditions right here and now then it could be considered a heaven.

If we strip ourselves of every title, qualification, position, down to our very soul, we’ll be one step closer to the heavenly goal of happiness!
