Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
This is my favorite quote, my life theme, my guiding star. I loved the fact that you made use of it in your book.

My favorite quote that I annotated on my Kindle was "If the word suffering simply means having unfulfilled desire, then to be human is to suffer." Humans are beings with insatiable needs, we can not escape our nature.

In "In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All," the author discusses the importance of having goals and desires in life. The book highlights the concept of the ego, which can control factors that lead to happiness, and the quote "you are a droplet of the divine, a wave on the surface of an indivisible ocean." The author also emphasizes the importance of setting goals and striving for them, as they can lead to a more fulfilling life.

The book also touches on the concept of time as a spiritual teacher, which is both brutal and effective. The message is that with age comes wisdom, as it is the truth. The author also emphasizes the importance of focusing on one's focus rather than discovering everything out there.

One of the most favorite quotes in the book is "If the word "suffering" simply means having unfulfilled desire, then to be human is to suffer." These quotes help readers to reflect on their personal philosophies and strive for greater happiness and fulfillment in life.

"If the word "suffering" simply means having unfulfilled desire, then to be human is to suffer." This got me. I would say this is my favorite as it’s stuck in my head.

There are many insightful quotes in the book. However, this stands out for me because it relates to freedom; a term that many have abused. 'Perhaps the most crucial aspect of the wonderful beauty of freedom is the creative diversity that the freedom engenders.' In their creativity, they have stepped and broken on many toes.

According to Alan Watts, human suffering arises from our tendency to take life too seriously, when in fact, the universe intends for us to experience it with a sense of playfulness and joy. In other words, our misery stems from our inability to recognize that life's challenges and complexities are ultimately meant to be navigated with a lighthearted and humorous approach, rather than solemnity and gravity.

My favorite quote in the book is: "To find peace, simply stop fighting."
Stop resisting and accept what you cannot change.
