Your left is not the left. There is no "the left". Likewise, there is no "the past" or "the future". Time is not real.

I am glad you drew the distinction between the dictionary definition of left and there not being a left. Since the universe continues to expand in all directions, I agree there is no left or a right. People on Earth created left and right thousands of years ago and we used these definitions. Philosophers are not held to these definitions.

Your left is not the left.

There is no "the left".

I agree, and those are good points. :)

It's worth noting that there is even more reason that there is no "the left". It's not just that it's a construct, which you it is, and you are wise to point that you.

It's also that even between humans it's relativistic. There infinite lefts, no single the left. Your left is not my left. A cupcake might be on your left but on my right. A cupcake might be on my left, but be directly in front of you, not to your left or right. To someone looking at the moon from outer space, the entire Earth and everything on it might be to their left.

For more on my premise that 'there is no left', please see these other topic of mine as well:

Thank you,

Hi Scott,  We can't say that because the universe is timeless; there is no time.I don't understand the left- and right-handed parts, but I do believe there is time. Time was created, and so it exists. It exists to give us consciousness and control. Since there's day and night, there is time.

The above sentence seems to be a contradiction to me.

As I use the terms, timeless = no time.

In the same sense, fearless would mean no fear.

And endless would mean no end.

The universe is constantly moving and growing so there is no left or right, future or past. These terms only exist on Earth probably because people are obsesses with measurement.

The topic challenges our fixed notions of "left," "past," and "future," demonstrating how clinging to these constructs impedes our perception of reality. Recognizing time's illusion frees us to experience the present moment in its fullness.

In physics, theories like Einstein's relativity challenge our intuitive understanding of time as a constant. The relativity of simultaneity implies that events can be perceived differently based on an observer's relative motion.

I agree with you up to this point. I've learned about the relativity of time, understanding that time is both real and abstract. We can't directly experience time, yet we move within it. Time acts as a fabric connecting different stages or periods, forming what we refer to as "time."

This perspective questions the existence of concepts like "the left," "the past," "the future," and time itself.

It suggests that these concepts are illusory and that the universe is leftless, rightless, timeless, and spaceless.

While there are different viewpoints on these matters, the understanding of the universe, time, and concepts like left and right can vary based on philosophical, scientific, and cultural perspectives. Science considers time fundamental for understanding causality and change, while left and right have significance in various contexts.

However, philosophical discussions propose diverse theories, challenging the conventional understanding of time as an objective reality. The nature of time, left and right, and other concepts remains a complex and debated topic, allowing for coexistence of different perspectives.

I don't understand this statements. I believe that the past and the future is what keeps us going everyday.

In essence, the understanding of time is a nuanced and evolving discourse, encompassing both subjective perceptions and scientific theories that continue to reshape our comprehension of this intricate dimension.

The idea of a definitive "left" or "past" and "future" is misleading. These notions are subjective and context-dependent. Likewise, time is a construct, not an absolute reality. It varies in interpretation and experience. Just as there's no singular "left," time's fluidity underscores its subjective nature. It's perceived uniquely by each individual, reflecting the relativity of perception and the absence of an objective temporal framework.

Most people living on Earth do believe in time and they have a left and a right. When one looks at the universe there is no left or right, future or past because the universe continues to expand in all directions and time, left and right are irrelevant.

From a theological standpoint, this concept often aligns with beliefs that emphasize an eternal and unchanging nature of the divine. It underscores the idea that God's presence is not confined to specific temporal boundaries but encompasses all moments concurrently. This understanding can provide a sense of comfort and assurance, as it implies a constant and unwavering connection with the divine, regardless of the shifting circumstances in our temporal experience.

Turning to the concept of time, the philosophical debate surrounding its reality or illusion delves into various perspectives. Some argue that time is a human invention, a way for us to organize and comprehend our experiences. Others contend that time is an inherent aspect of the fabric of the universe, pointing to its role in physical processes and cosmic phenomena. This philosophical discourse invites contemplation on the nature of existence and the intricacies of our understanding.
