This philosophy promotes the idea that one's worth is not solely tied to productivity, allowing for moments of leisure, self-reflection, and the pursuit of activities that bring joy and fulfillment. It's a perspective that challenges the societal narrative of constant busyness and underscores the importance of intentional living.

This is actually very much accurate, and very easy. I am in sync with your opinion.

Nice overview. I really appreciate your view on success and indeed success definition differs from one person to another. Gradually, anyone can be successful if they want to , if desired and determined.

It is liberating in many respects to realize that we have a choice.
I agree with you about accepting what is beyond our control.
What you mention about sacrifice is quite accurate.

We each have our own ideas of what success mean to us. We just have to know what that is.

These three principles should be our motto. Also, I completely agree that "Happiness is about honestly acknowledging that it's your choice, and being at accepting peace with that choice."

Thank you for this very helpful article!

The system you've described is intriguing—it's a fresh take on the classic cause and effect of success and happiness. By redefining 'needs' as 'wants,' you're empowering people to take ownership of their lives. It seems like a reminder that we're in control of our paths, that our desires aren't just whims but the very keys to our personal achievements and contentment. What resonates most is the idea that we can choose to be happy at any point, by aligning our actions with our true desires and by peacefully accepting what's beyond our control. It's a liberating perspective.

What exactly do you mean when you say someone is successful. It may have different meaning with different culture. So I feel we should be able to differentiate it to an extent.

Thank you as always.
Being truly honest with oneself is the key to true happiness and true success.

We are all different and this is what makes us beautiful. There is nothing we " must" do.
If we truly want something, it's a matter of simply making the choice of committing to the path of attaining it.
Happiness is available right here right now.

Thank you for pointing out the conceptual mistake of thinking that needs are more important than wants.
It makes good sense that needs have a relation to wants now that you have pointed this out.
This is food for thought !
I agree that my want ( choice) is the most important thing. If I want to sit and sip my tea under the stars ( I do enjoy this), this is true happiness in all honesty :D

If I want to be a millionaire or best-selling author then it simply is an expression of my pleasure to pay the price on my journey of attainment .

Hi, Scott. Getting what you want is key. When you make the choice about what you want, then you have to take the steps to procure it. You don't need it you want it. If you find out later that you don't need it, no big deal, you didn't need it in the first place. You wanted it. Does that sound right? :) :?

I agree with your three principles for happiness Scott. Happiness for me is total acceptance of myself with all my flaws, it's having a purpose every day of my life to get up, turn up, and do the best I can. It's supporting others when life isn't fair.

About # 1, "there's nothing that you must do" seems to mean that an obligation is a bad thing? It seems that the advice is just live and enjoy without feeling that at times you have to or must do something, because when that's the feeling you are unhappy? I would like you, Scott, to please tell me whether my thinking is correct or not.

I totally agree with the points you explained. I just think that everyone cannot be successful what is bound to come will come. I just think determination is the key that drives success .
