The Simple Key to Consistency, Determination, and Incredible Success

CONSISTENCY, DETERMINATION, AND INCREDIBLE SUCCESS

Those who read my book will understand what I mean when I say this:

A major key to (1) consistency, (2) determination, (3) incredible goal-achievement (i.e. success), and (4) transcending and breaking free of any addictive cycles holding you back and keeping you imprisoned... is this: Being 'in it together' with your selves across time.

Many humans aren't in a cooperative healthy loving relationship with the family closest to them; that family being the older and younger versions of the human they see in the mirror.

Cheating on a diet and cheating on a spouse are much more similar than many people realize. So too can that be said of the significant similarity between abusively and/or controllingly imposing impossible or unreasonable rules on a romantic partner as on an older versions of the human you see in the mirror. Many who feel out of control themselves impose on others, including both their others in space and their others in time.

The abused tend to abuse. Those with cruel, uncooperative, or outright dysfunction with their family at home tend to manifest that same pattern in their relationship with others; And when I talk about dysfunction at home, I'm talking more about the would-be temple you call a human body, not a building of bricks; The family it houses is all the different-aged versions and personalities of you.

I repeat: The abused tend to abuse.

This is why the Monday-diet imagined by the weekend-binge-eater is often so absurdly strict and impossible and ridiculous and abusive.

This is why before a night of binge drinking one might say, "tonight is my last night drinking ever so let me make it count".

This is why a drug addict might say, "I'll commit myself [i.e. my older self] to that tough rehab clinic tomorrow, but first I need one last fix."

Those who have true self-responsibility don't feel the need to be ridiculously strict and abusive with others, including their others in time, namely the older version of the human they see in the mirror.

Those who willingly fail to control what they can control (namely their own unique choices in their own unique present) often then overcompensate with a futile attempt to desperately control what they cannot: namely the choices of others, especially the older versions of the human they see in the mirror (i.e. their so-called future self). The antithesis of self-responsibility is a god complex; one is productive, peaceful, happy, and successful; the other is destructive, aggressive, abusive, futile, and miserable.

Self-responsibility means freedom, and those who have it don't tend as much to impose on the freedom of others.

With love,
Eckhart Aurelius Hughes

For the free option, that means you will still get paid $100 if you don't achieve your goal using his free advice and free system.
My entire political philosophy summed up in one tweet.

"The mind is a wonderful servant but a terrible master."

I believe spiritual freedom (a.k.a. self-discipline) manifests as bravery, confidence, grace, honesty, love, and inner peace.

Self responsibility means freedom has to be one of the most powerful phrases I’ve read in a while! This post made me think on so many things that did not make that much sense to me.

We always read that serial killers are usually people that have been abused as children, or that have lived a traumatizing life, enduring what they are currently doing to their victims. I’ve never understood it because I’ve always thought that someone who has lived through a certain kind of pain should know what it feels like and not wish it upon others.

But reading this post made me realize that it’s true, the abused tend to abuse.

People truly tend to treat others the way they were treated. There are many concerning beliefs today. People need more education to understand and deal with their problems.

It is true. People with self-responsibility are never over-critical of others. It is only those who do not live up to their own expectations who overcompensate.

If you become self-responsible, you acquire a kind of freedom some might find somewhat puzzling. For me, it equals inner peace and gives me balance in everything I do. I must admit, though, that it took me years to realize the importance of self-responsibility.

Honestly, self-control has been one of the best things I've ever experienced. I'm thriving in life now because I've learned the art of delayed gratification. For instance, I like to travel a few times a year. I used to think I couldn't afford to travel. Then I realized that if I budgeted properly, I could afford to travel. If I have to go without something that isn't a necessity for a temporary amount of time, I could save enough to pay for a flight and hotel ahead of the trip. Completely agree that those who don't control what they can control tend to overcompensate in other areas of life. I've never thought of the antithesis of self-responsibility/control being a God complex, but that is an intriguing complex. I have to think that over.

True to form, people typically behave toward others in the same manner. Many current beliefs are alarming. For people to comprehend and address their issues, they need more education.

I totally agree with you because people find it puzzling because you become free and self responsible.

They actually need to teach this stuff at school. Let kids read non-fiction books while growing up, because once they don’t cultivate the reading habit, the consequences are drastic. Reading can teach all of those virtues, and more.

Those are interesting thoughts. I liked the examples you gave when you say that the abused tend to abuse and the idea that to abuse doesn't only mean abuse others but abusing your own body.

The proliferation of alarming beliefs within society underscores the urgency for a comprehensive educational approach. By fostering a deeper understanding, education becomes a catalyst for individuals to not only comprehend but also actively address the complexities and challenges they encounter in their lives.

Engaging in self-reflection helps in understanding personal values, aspirations, and areas for improvement. Implementing self-care routines nurtures physical and mental well-being, fostering a harmonious connection with the inner self. Cultivating this internal relationship often translates into improved relationships with others, as individuals bring a more balanced and positive mindset into their interactions.

Determination goes beyond mere persistence; it encompasses a mindset that views challenges as stepping stones rather than obstacles. It involves learning from failures, adapting strategies, and maintaining a strong belief in your ability to overcome hurdles. A determined individual remains focused on the long-term vision, staying resilient even when faced with setbacks.
