New Customer Support Staff Trainees Wanted at OnlineBookClub -- $10 per hour, 2 hours per week, to start
We have some gaps in our staff schedule at OnlineBookClub, so I am looking to hire some new trainees as "Official Support Reps".
To start, you will only be working 2 hours per week, in two separate one-hour shifts, with a starting pay of $10 per hour.
However, please do not apply unless you would ultimately be willing to soon work at least 10 hours per week, split across 2-3 shifts at 3-4 hours per shift. Each shift would be on a different day.
The reason for starting with only two 1-hour shifts per week, and only $10 per hour, is so you can be trained on the job. I'd like you to even think of it as a paid internship, where you can work professionally under me and can quickly grow with the company.
Once you are able to do 1 hour of tasks per shift efficiently and correctly, without needing additional training or such, then we will add another hour or two so you can start doing new additional tasks and be trained on the job on those, and then once you can do 3-4 hours per week quickly and correctly, we will add another hour or two.
I'm looking for people who have consistently demonstrated with their previous contributions that they are exceptionally positive, friendly, and emotionally consistent.
That is very important because of the nature of the Official Reviewer Rep position. It's similar to being a waiter at restaurant. You have to deal with swearing stressed busy kitchen staff who barely have the time to answer your questions in the back while always helping frustrated and often very mean customers while doing it all with a smile on your face even when you yourself are in the weeds.
Imagine a sudden unfortunate bug emerges in OnlineBookClub's software that instantly starts frustrating or confusing many of our 5 million members; imagine the programming team and I are too busy fixing it to answer your questions well if at all, and because of the bug 1,000+ different emails come from 1,000+ different members all in a single hour, almost each email very angry and full of rude unconstructive complaining because of the bug. "This is f**cking unacceptable!" some of the emails say to you, without the censoring, basically blaming you because you are OnlineBookClub now. Is this something you will handle with a patient friendly understanding smile?
If you are someone who ever takes things personally at work whether when dealing with co-workers or customers, then this job is not for you.
If you are someone who gets easily emotionally disregulated, even if no more than the average human, then this job is not for you.
This is a job only for those people who are exceptionally patient, resilient, friendly, and stoic. This job is for people who have almost superhuman-like traits in that respect.
Needless to say, for the above reasons, someone who read my book, In It Together, and agreed with its philosophy and teachings would tend to be a perfect candidate. That would be someone who can manifest their inner peace even in situations of outer dispeace. They are someone who can work very gracefully, which means in large part having incredible grace under fire. This is the kind of trainee that I want.
If that is you, and you are interested, please contact me at: [email protected]
Thank you,
Scott
