Hmm! This concept of standing at a distance and look at ones emotions and laugh at it sounds simle yet deep. I think before this concept works and realistic, one must have resolved to stop the heavy emotion or urge.
Taking a moment to recognize your feelings allows you to understand your emotions better. This understanding helps you manage your reactions and make more thoughtful decisions when faced with temptations or intense emotions. It's a mindfulness strategy that enhances self-awareness and helps you deal with difficult situations more effectively.
If I understand correctly, to deal with temptations, I have to refer that improper desire to what my human body is feeling and not what the real me is feeling. That is a new concept I plan on doing. I think not referring to such feelings as personal bolsters our confidence that we have a measure of power over it.
