My favorite teaching of Jesus is loving our neighbors as ourselves. If this kind of love is practiced in the world then issues like war, killings, rape and others would not exist. Everyone can love their friends, parents, siblings; even murderers love someone!

Loving our neighbors as we love ourselves is the kind of love the world needs.

Good analysis and insight. We all have an innate truth within ourselves. Whether anyone is religious or not, internally, the person can be true and know truth.

I read the New Testament from cover to cover when I was sixteen years old: over 40 years ago. I cannot quote what Jesus said exactly, but it went something like this:Why do you point out the speck in another person's eye when you have a log in your eye. What I understood from that was you should judge yourself first before you judge others. You must accept other people judging you if you judge others. Don't make yourself out to be better than you really are. Cut other people some slack.

1. "Love your neighbors as yourself." (Treat others with kindness and respect.)
2. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." (Treat others the way you want to be treated.)
3. "Forgive those who wrong you." (Let go of grudges and forgive others.)
4. "Be humble and serve others." (Put others' needs before your own.)
5. "Love your enemies." (Treat those who hurt you with kindness and compassion.)
6. "Take care of the poor and needy." (Help those who are struggling.)
7. "Be honest and truthful." (Always tell the truth, even if it's hard.)
8. "Judge not, lest you be judged." (Don't criticize others; focus on your own actions.)

These teachings promote love, kindness, forgiveness, and compassion.

Honestly, all the teachings of Jesus are great, but if you ask me about my favourite one, then it would be 'love your neighbour as you love yourself'. And if everyone were to follow this commandment, there would be a lot of peace.

Yes. Have the balance. Have the balance between you and your fellow neighbor. What if your neighbor never loves you equally. Loves himself other than anyone even you. Can you still love him after he starts to show strong hatred careless attitude and threats to you.?He has come to a point of finale.

In this world where people tend to take advantage of innocent people, an eye for an eye is definitely my favorite teaching.

I very much love your perspective. My favorite teaching of Jesus would have to be "love your neighbor as yourself." This simple yet powerful message emphasizes the importance of being kind and caring towards others, just as we would want them to be towards us. It reminds me to show empathy and compassion in my everyday interactions. Even though I might not get the same energy back, there is peace in knowing I hold no malice.

Indeed, alot of the teachings of Jesus will resonate with many people. I also love his teachings on love and care, I feel that we need more of those teachings now.

Reflecting on my favorite teachings of Jesus, I am struck by His messages' profound simplicity and depth. One of the most impactful is the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." This teaching emphasizes empathy, kindness, and mutual respect, forming a foundation for ethical behavior and harmonious relationships.

My favourite teaching of jesus was when he talked about children and said they should come to him. My second favourite teaching was on the beatitudes.

Love is the best teaching to me and I feel it supercedes all or teachings. Jesus made us understand that love is the golden rule and if you love someone you won't cross them. If you love God you won't sin too.
