How has reading this book changed the way you function day-to-day and make decisions, or reflect on your life?

For me, I've always been overall accepting of what "past" me did. As we know, what's done is done! Though I still inwardly cringe when awkward memories come up.

The change has been how I approach choices as it relates to "future" me. It's really helped shift my mindset and be more successful in working towards my goals. For example, I joke that one of my hobbies is stress-eating. But now when I'm dealing with stress I stop and think about my options. Instant gratification would temporarily boost my current mood, but it would be an act of love to future me if I don't eat the cookie/candy/whatever so that future me isn't stressing about losing more weight.

Has anyone else experienced this mind shift?

The relationship with oneself, often referred to as self-awareness or self-care, is foundational to overall well-being and personal growth. It encompasses how individuals perceive, understand, and treat themselves on physical, emotional, and psychological levels. Cultivating a positive relationship with oneself involves practices such as self-reflection, self-compassion, and self-acceptance. It entails acknowledging one's strengths and weaknesses, nurturing a sense of authenticity and self-confidence, and being kind and forgiving toward oneself. Additionally, prioritizing self-care activities, setting boundaries, and engaging in activities that promote mental and physical health are vital aspects of maintaining a healthy relationship with oneself. By investing in self-awareness and self-compassion, individuals can enhance their resilience, cultivate a sense of inner peace, and navigate life's challenges with greater clarity and confidence, ultimately leading to a more fulfilling and balanced life.

I have. I enjoyed the part in the book where he discussed how easy it usually is to unconditionally love your future self and make decisions in that headspace of love. It changed my approach to decision-making as well, I now want the best for the current me and future me because we are the same and I will always choose to make us happy now.

Accepting past actions without judgment is wise, since dwelling on regrets is unproductive. As you noted, "what's done is done." An attitude of self-compassion for past missteps can be empowering.

Reading this book has influenced my daily life and decisions by making me more thoughtful and aware. I now pause to consider how my choices align with my values and goals. This has helped me grow personally, improve my relationships, and appreciate the present moment more. I approach each day with a clearer and more focused mind.

I agree. I used to focus on living in the present moment. However, the concept of the continuity of the self has led me to think differently. Now, I see what I do today as an investment in or support for my future self. I also try (though it isn't always easy) to forgive my past self for the difficulties I experience today because of past decisions. I remind myself that those decisions were not made with the intent to harm but were a result of a lack of experience and wisdom. Viewing them as valuable learning experiences has been helpful.

My relationship with myself at this number called 22 is worse and examplifying. I felt like I should have gotten to a destination I thought when I was number 19 and 20. But everything I see from this realm is not going well. The other self in the realm that existed without space, matter, and time is full of conflicts, war, energy drainers, and wet dreams. This is what my current real and unreal self experiencing. I don't know your thoughts on my opinion. Peace II.

Absolutely, I've experienced a similar shift. This book has made me more mindful of my decisions and their impact on my future self. I now consciously consider how my actions today will benefit or burden my future self, making choices that align with my long-term goals and well-being. It's been transformative in fostering a more thoughtful and proactive approach to daily life.

I've been more conscious and thoughtful after reading this book, which has affected my decisions and day-to-day activities. I stop now to think about how my decisions fit with my objectives and ideals. I've been able to develop personally, strengthen my bonds with others, and increase my appreciation for the present.
