I thought is would be fun to post ones OWN sayings of wisdom. I will start. As far as I know it is original. I am not saying it is great, just my thought I think is worth sharing.

An information source is only as good as its agenda.

Nice thread Misty.
When you are happy act in such a way that when you are sad it goes unnoticed.

Thanks for creating this thread, Misty. I've enjoyed reading all of the contributions thus far.

My own contribution would be:

When acquiring knowledge, one seeks that which is found without.
When acquiring truth, one seeks that which is found within.
When acquiring wisdom, one seeks that which is found in knowledge and truth.

I second what SpiralOut says. Very entertaining.

Would Misty like to extend this board to include fictional pseudo-philosophical statements. For example:

A closed book has no numbered pages

For only he who lives in the shade can know where the sun shines

Philosophy has said many things, but heard nothing.

The blind and the misguided walk along the same path in life, keep to what you know is morally right and the path will correct itself to suit your steps. You will succeed even though you cannot see where you are going.

The truth is like the sun and the moon, even when you can't see it, it is still there, waiting to come out.

Sometimes your enemy can be your best friend, sometimes your friend is your worst enemy.

A 'problem' is only a problem if you think it's a problem.

If a statement is without foundation, how can it be distinguished from fantasy?
