further information field. Homework assignment?

Hi. A topic I recently posted was dissaproved. This is the message I received:
Topic disapproved: "Questions about "solidarity" according to Richard Rorty"

Forum: Ethics and Morality

Reason: The reported message does not fit into any other category, please use the further information field. Homework assignment.
I don't understand what it's saying. Can you please help me with the following?
  1. Is it saying that the problem is that the topic only fits the ethics and morality subforum? If so, why would that be a problem?
  2. What is the "further information field. Homework assignment" and where do I find it?
  3. How do I fix my error?
  4. In order to post my topic correctly, must I rewrite everything or is there a way to recover my original message and work on it?
Thank you in advance.

Under the General Philosophy Heading:
This forum is NOT for factual, informational or scientific questions about philosophy (e.g. "What year was Socrates born?"); such homework-help-style questions ...

Oh, that wasn't clear to me from what I had seen of the forum. So you're saying the whole forum isn't for asking questions about philosophy schools, authors nor their concepts? Did I get that right?

The forum is for discussing philosophy not for doing your school assignments for you.

Are you saying that you read the Forum Rules and some of the rules are unclear? If so, which rule(s) specifically are unclear to you?

Thank you for your answers. I must admit I had not read the Forum Rules before this. My bad . I assume you Scott are refering to these ones: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12#p12

Was my fault particularly regarding the following?
Scott wrote: March 1st, 2007, 10:11 amH.4. When posting a new topic, you must pose some sort of philosophical argument or philosophical open-ended question. Do not post a topic which only asks for one-word answers. You can use an article, video, image, short poem or other quote as the basis for your own philosophical argument or question or as elaboration of one of your points, but you still must add your own philosophical question or argument in your own words. Please see this post elaborating on this rule against preaching, which does not merely apply to religious topics but applies to all topics. The topic must qualify independently as argument or as elaborated, well-specified philosophical questioning (meaning tacking a simple question onto a post that would otherwise be preaching is not sufficient).
If so, I would suggest adding the following to the paragraph: "please no questions requesting interpretations of philosophical schools, authors, nor their concepts".

Changing subject, since Foolso4 mentioned it. I wanted to clarify I'm not exactly doing my school assignment. I'm just choosing the main authors and concepts for my PhD thesis proposal. I had a few doubts about Rorty's ideas on ethics and I was hoping I could converse with someone about them. If the wording of my questions gave the idea of a homework assignment it probably is because for years I have been a teacher. I suppose it was natural for me to write my questions like that :P.

That was my impression. Perhaps you can repost. It might help if you included some information on what you are thinking about addressing.
