Can we have more smilies please? It's nearly Xmas, after all.
I'd like a yes smilie.
A no smilie.
A frustrated smilie.
A bored smilie.
A pondering smilie.
A leaving smilie.
A celebratory smilie.
Feel free to add to the list.
How about it? (bloody hell, there's no begging smilie either)
Edited to add:
Hugs smilies. (ape would love them, I'm sure).
Cheers smilies.

Thanks Scott. I didn't realise it was so difficult; forgive me.
I shouldn't really complain, but that bored smilie looks like a worried smilie.

It's not at all hard to upload them, just to find them. I did a Google search and found hundreds of emoticons but I didn't notice any that matched the emotions you listed. So if you find them, feel free to email them to me.
Though, I wouldn't be willing to upload emoticons that would only express a sentiment that is not in line with
the forum rules, particularly the rule that users must be nice, polite, respectful and not even borderline rude or ad hominem. For instance, consider a "You Suck" emoticon, an emoticon throwing the middle-finger or a frustration emoticon that would be insulting to others as opposed to oneself; none of those would be allowed.

Oh boy! A thread about emoticons. At last, a chance to complain about those silly little buggers.
Finding them in use when I began this forum stuff was kindergarden relived. At age five I often couldn't write everthing I wanted to say. Some times I had to revert to crude drawings.
Now, here we are, a bunch of grown-ups who consider ourselves qualified to write down our complicated thoughts -- and some times we're still reverting to crude drawings!

Do writers of Chinese ideographs need emoticons?

Belinda, you know how to hurt a cause. So, I give up. Half the world speaks Chinese, many of the Chinese characters are or were pictures, Confucius said a picture is worth a thousand words, emoticons are ideographs, and it would be nice if everybody in the world agreed to speak the same language.
I may even start using emoticons myself.
(But I doubt it.)

Don't you see how simple and effective emoticons such as the one above are?
I would give you a pitying hug, but there are none.
