“Water symbolizes the whole of potentiality—the source of all possible existence.” —Mircea Eliade(Location 228 - Kindle Version)
There are several instances where water is used in religious rituals, like pirith water in Buddhism, which is believed to hold the protective force of sacred chanting, or holy water in Christianity, which is used for blessing and protection. These examples (or rather mimics) of the 'water memory' hypothesis, which suggests water retains a memory of substances that have been added within it even after those substances have been taken away. And the author backs this claim with anecdotes that he has compiled from similar cases.
What do you think? Would it be possible for water to be the answer to merging the two worlds of science and spirituality?
