Saluations!
Philosophical Background and Interests
I have an undergraduate philosophy degree, and still plan to get philosophy doctorate. The areas of philosophical knowledge I am most familiar with include Philosophy of Religion, Existentialism, Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Science, post renaissance enlightenment philosophy, and Logic. I am most interested in Logic and Existentialism, and Phil. Mind to a degree.
Purpose for Joining
My purpose for creating this account is to get some interest in a paper I wrote and researched independently in my spacetime. It is entitled, "Falsifying Freud: Using Interpretations to Disprove interpretations." It is a multidisciplinary paper, and I'm here to see if anyone would be interested in it. But honestly, I think I'm also here because I miss philosophy discussions, and want to engage in them again.
Look forward to speaking with you and participating in your discussions. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
E

Salutations to you!Eirkedaargk wrote: ↑January 18th, 2022, 12:12 pm Hello! This is my first time joining and posting anything in a philosophical forum. I love philosophy, but never saw a need to post in a forum until now. Regardless, I'll share a little about my philosophical background and interests and purpose here. Only seems fair.

Jump in and I can almost guarantee that folks will be interested in your input. If you have a paper of any length that you would like to present, I recommend you identify single concepts within the paper as subjects, rather than the entirety of the paper itself.

Welcome Erik! Sounds like you bring us meaty treatsEirkedaargk wrote: ↑January 19th, 2022, 1:13 pm Sound advice. Approaching subject by subject will prove effective. It might also be better to give a summary of the paper's conclusions (I did... no more than 2 pages, with 1 page containing paper topic summary. So not much word wise).
