Because I need to be sharper
But a mentor of mine recommended joining some political or philosophy forums in order to get better at crafting/rebutting/responding to arguments. I was always a **** debater in school, and just wrote myself off. I realized later on that there's "competitive debating," and then there's true argumentation, and getting at the topic honestly, intellectually, with no time for grandstanding. Thought I'd give it a shot and sharpen myself with some smart folks
Interests are, of course, general philosophy, but more specifically: ethics, religion, the arts, and so much more, but those three are what came to mind immediately. Thanks!

You may find yourself getting sharper here. But you should prepare yourself for the fact that some of the people here are very blunt. Be prepared to for some of them to insult you if you stick your neck out!
