Post by happyzozo »

Hi all,

My name is Abhinav Jain and I am from India. What I am upto well I am very much interested in philosophy of Happiness. I have launched one website called happyzozo .com. I am interested in knowing more about same topic i.e Philosophy of Happiness. As through this website we try and capture philosophy of life which is simple and we are trying to find happiness in everyday life activities we do.

Your happiness or my happiness? Whose happiness is precedent, and why? Can humans agree that their happiness is at the expense of the planet and that the health of the planet would be better off without them? So whose happiness has precedent?

What is happiness? I think dawwg is talking about a completely different sense of the term, a different concept, of happiness than happyzozo is referring to. The feeling of being happy is distinct from the Eudamionia sense of "happiness" which I think is more akin to what happyzozo is referring to.

One Step Towards A Little More Happiness:

Up to not so long ago I strongly believed that no one could be truly happy. I felt that we all suffered internally and that we all just put on a public show of happiness and exciting lives (ie. Facebook), which essentially just ignored the lingering cloud of monotony, anger, sadness, injustice...

After doing plenty of research on setting intentions (or law of attraction), positive thinking and meditation, I felt that I was trying too hard to produce a happiness or excitement that wasn't really me. My attempts fluctuated over the years and I felt that I had nothing to show for it. Still at square one.

After watching a few videos called Happiness Unlimited, I started to see why I felt so gloomy all these years. It kind of "opened my eyes". The heaviness I felt had to do with my perspective. Ok this was a start.

Logically that made sense, but changing the way I understood my life wasn't something I knew how to do... or even how to start. How do I change to something new without knowing what exactly I'm trying to attain? Happiness? That's elusive and vague.

There is more to the story of how I worked on changing my perspective and being more thankful, and it's something I'd like to share. I've written an article called Attaining Happiness, but I don't think I can post it here yet since I'm new.

I'd also love to hear from other people who are experiencing the same thing. I'd love to get your perspective.

I hope through these tough times, we all come out stronger in ourselves, and really try to understand what drives us as beings living well with ourselves and other beings.

Lots of Love!

Let people do their own things, let their freak flags fly, etc., as long as they're not performing nonconsensual actions on others, including environmental actions that nonconsensually result in "physical harm" to others, or committing property crimes or contractual fraud.

So everyone follows their own happiness in that way.

I had a look for happyzozo.com but didn't see the website.
Anyway I admire your dedication to happiness. I think happiness has its origin in the genes. What do you think?
