Hello !
I just registered and before posting in the other parts of the forum i believe it is more polite to stop by this section and present myself.
I am french so i hope my english won't be a problem, but please, do not hesitate to correct me or tell me if I am too hard to understand.
Tonight, I decided to look for a forum where I could learn more and more while having pleasant conversation.
The love for philosophy and reflection didn't come from school, but from the owner of my favorit bookstore, in my hometown. While I was still young, I used to read horror and thrillers, but quickly moved to D.A.F de Sade. As i was absorbed by this wonderful author, the owner of the bookstore recommended me some authors, first in poetry with Rimbault and Baudelaire. Then quickly moved (or incorporated) to Platon, Epicure and La Boetie.
True love for philosophy came with Nietzsche, Kant, Heidegger, Schopenhauer and Wittgenstein.
Generally speaking I do love reading and books. On my nightstand you will find :
-> Tractacus logico philosophicus - Wittgenstein
-> The antechrist - Nietzsche
-> Les chants de Maldoror - Isodore ducasse
-> 120 days of Sodom - DAF de Sade
-> A brief history of time.
Other than litterature, I am currently learning Data Science and hope to get a position in the data field as a programmer.
I listen to a lot of music, mostly metal, but also classic, folk and traditionnal. While writting this presentation I am listening to (Aleksandr Borodin - Polovetsian Dances from "Prince Igor").
Other fields of interests are astrophysics, quantum physics, mathematics, art (history and creating art), history (mesopotamian to be more precise).
Looking forward to the discussions !
