I am a Christian- I believe in God and feel that he has directly touched my life.
I defy all normal classifications in life- I have faced and seen things that many people will never endure. I think justice is not something I have ever experienced- I've been to jail for being poor while a man that strangled and shot at me only got probation with no jail time.
Question: I will always ask in a debate why? What information do you base your belief on? If you can support why you believe something opposite of me, I will be more than happy to consider that I am not right.
I do not call names, and will not allow someone to degenerate me. I give respect and if something offends me I will just not respond to it. And it will take a lot to really offend me.

Welcome, glad to see you actively posting on the threads.Mounce574 wrote: ↑November 23rd, 2022, 4:56 pm My real name is Stephanie Chapman. I am an avid book reader, I don't watch mainstream media because I feel it doesn't give a truly open view of what is reported. I am considered a conservative Republican but I am actually not in favor of either side. I approach issues and individuals with an open mind.

Sounds a little echo chambery.Mounce574 wrote: ↑November 25th, 2022, 1:44 am I generally get information from DailyWire+, Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh, and Dr. Jordan Peterson. If I am uncertain about anything when it comes to statistics, I know how to access government websites and legal sites that will take me to the law library. I don't argue points about anything I have no clue about but I will ask questions out of curiosity.

I subscribe to (pay for) the Economist and the NYT Sundays, but I read online articles from evetything from the WSJ to networks to Forbes, Reuters, the London papers. However, once intrigued by stories written by journalists, I commonly look up the raw stats for myself from the source. Oh and John Oliver.

I am glad that you have joined the forum, with a critical approach to the understanding of the nature of beliefs. It is interesting to engage and listen to those with opposing ideas, especially as a way of questioning one's own. So, I hope that you stick around and I look forward to interacting with you in the future.Mounce574 wrote: ↑November 23rd, 2022, 4:56 pm My real name is Stephanie Chapman.
