Hongkong in Turmoil
Back to the days when my great grandfather smoked opium, a privilege granted exclusively to the Colony by its exporter master country. Lying in smoke bed served by a set of sweet tender maidens, he would squander his life-long savings away, not too soon after his early retirement, but long before he died in his own rickety bed, surrounded by his own set of weeping maidens. He should thank the elixir having brought him such heavenly bliss and fulfillment. Today: ex-colony; same exporter. Protester, as consumer, would react so differently to similar smoke from tear-gas, and free-of-charge too. How time has changed!
